This summer at the Schenectady JCC, fresh air, sunshine and oil paint were a recipe for happiness.

On Wednesday, Aug. 5, about a dozen students of all levels layered brush strokes to create nature scenes as the sun set behind them. The Daily Gazette dropped by one of the JCC’s plein air painting classes to join the creative fun.
