“Halleli: I Will Sing Praise,” join singer and Cantorial soloist Leah Wolff-Pellingra in an afternoon of  soulful Jewish music, including traditional melodies, contemporary settings and original compositions. Leah will accompany herself on her guitar. The concert will be held on Sunday, December 15, 3 PM at the JCC of Schenectady.

Leah Wolff-Pellingra is a Family Educator and Cantorial Soloist serving the greater Capital District of New York. Her debut album of original music, "Halleli," produced by Sam Glaser, featuring Saul Kaye and Tamir Barzilay, was released in the summer of 2013. Leah's "Song for Our Girls" was featured on NewCAJE's New Voices album along with songs from young Jewish artists from around the country.

As a storyteller, Leah's words have been broadcast internationally via NPR's 51% from WAMC Northeast Public Radio. Leah has also contributed her words to RJ.org, Fresh Updates from the RAC, and All OverAlbany.com; she is the author of NoshingConfessions.com. Leah presented as a Storyteller to the full conference at NewCAJE1 in 2010, continuing as a Young Professional Manhigim at NewCAJE3 and 4.

Leah holds her Masters in Religious Education from HUC-JIR's Executive Masters in Jewish Education program (class of '13). Her capstone work focused on the enduring dilemma of Continuity and Change as exemplified by the evolution of women's roles in Jewish communal life.
