Welcome to JCC Swim and Dive team 2008! We are looking forward to a great season and welcome all swimmers and divers, both returning and new. We had a great year last year. As always, our focus will be on the achievement of the athlete's personal best, while enjoying the fun of team competition and spirit. Go Blue Waves!
The swim team accepts swimmers of all skill levels, however, parents are reminded that the swim team is not to be used in place of swim lessons. In the interest of safety, a swimmer must be able to complete at least one length of freestyle and one length of backstroke without holding onto the ropes. The team certainly wants to encourage young swimmers and may accept swimmers who may not have ability with both strokes - but this is at the discretion of the coach - all decisions are made with the participant's and team's safety in mind. Whatever age your swimmer is as of June 1st, 2008, that is the age bracket that he/she will swim for the entire season. Starting Monday, June 16, until Friday, June 27, the swim team practices will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Starting Monday, June 30, practice will be held Monday - Friday 7:30 am – 9:00 am. There will be make up sessions available for missed practices after 5:00 pm daily. There will be (2) lanes set aside for the swim team use only. Official practice is in the morning. In general, coaches will not be available for evening practices.

They are looking forward to working with our swimmers and having an enjoyable swim season. Thursday, June 12th: Parents meeting at 6 PM. Parents MUST attend this meeting. Parents of swim team members are required to work at team activities. Assignments will be made at this meeting.
