- Q: Do I need
to be Jewish to join the JCC?
- A: No, the JCC
is non-sectarian. Membership is open to everyone in our community.

- Q: How much
does it cost to join?
- A: We have several
membership levels, from senior individual to family. Please see our
membership page to review all the
available categories.

- Q: Although
I am not a member, may I register for a program?
- A: Yes. Several
of our programs that are fee supported have member/non-member rates.
Concerts and similar programs, which are open to everyone in the community,
carry member and non-member admissions rates. Please review the respective
program announcement for fee schedules.

- Q: Does the
JCC offer financial assistance to those in need?
- A: Yes, please

- Q: I am considering
joining; do you have a trial membership program?
- A: We do make available
a one-day guest pass for you to use our facilities if you are considering
membership. We encourage you to contact us info@schenectadyjcc.org at ext 236,
to make the necessary arrangements.

- Q: If I am visiting
the area, but belong to a JCC at home, do I pay a visitor fee?
- A: No, the JCC
honors a reciprocity policy with other JCCs. Please call in advance,
if you could, and show a current JCC membership card and you can use
our facilities.

meeting rooms and auditorium available for rent?
- A: Yes. Please

- Q: The childcare
programs seem excellent. How can I enroll my children?
- A: You are welcome
to speak with our director, Ellen Carpenter, at ext. 240 or you may
request an application packet from our offices.

- Q: The fitness
center seems perfect for me but I have not been working out lately.
Is there someone to help me get started again?
- A: Yes. We provide
a complimentary complete orientation to the Fitness
Center for all new members. There is also [for a very modest
fee] a complete fitness assessment where one of our trainers will develop
a detailed and effective exercise program with you. See the Fees for
Fitness Services page for additional information.

- Q: I have family/friends
visiting for the weekend, can I bring them along to the Center with
me?
- A: Yes, we offer
guest passes for $5 for adults per day, and $3 per child, per day The
Family Park [outdoor pool] is also available for your guests if you
are a Family Park member. The guest passes can not be transacted on
Saturday, though. The fees are $4 adults and $ 2 for children on weekdays
and $5/adults and $ 3/children on weekends.

Fitness classes? How about Pilates?
- A: Yes, we certainly
do. In fact, we have weekday morning and late afternoon classes in addition
to our Sunday classes. Please see our Fitness
