The Early Childhood Program at the SJCC provides quality childcare for a variety of ages and developmental levels. It is our belief that each child should be given the freedom to develop at his/her own rate. Through play, children learn to think by being encouraged to solve their own problems and answer their own questions, with guidance from the teachers.

It is the mission of the Early Childhood Program is to provide every child with a safe and an appropriate learning environment to develop a positive self-image, to encourage exploration and experimentation, to foster imagination and creativity and to develop the self-esteem and confidence to function in a positive manner in a group situation, no matter what the religious, ethnic or socioeconomic level of the family.

All of our programs are designed to help each child learn to work cooperatively, develop literacy and math readiness, select activities according to interests, enjoy creative projects and practice cognitive, physical and social-emotional skills.

Our teachers and staff are qualified professionals who have the interests of you and your child first and foremost. Staff members are certified in First Aid, CPR and participate in professional development and training throughout the year.

The SJCC encourages open communication among families, teachers and administrators to build trusting and beneficial relationships. Parents are encouraged to become involved in the program by participating in their child's program, attending social events and becoming a part of our Parent Teacher Organization.
