POST CAMP
August 20 – 24, 2012
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

SPORTS & FITNESS CAMP:
(for children entering 1st – 6th grade)
Fitness Camp is available for children entering 1st - 6th grade
This camp is designed to help kids stay physically active, while having a great time doing so. This camp will be led by the Schenectady JCC Fitness Director, Guido Posso. Each day kids will exercise, enjoy water sports, spend an hour playing a team Sport with Chris Belden the JCC Sports and Wellness Director (ie: basketball, soccer) and learn about healthy eating habits. Everything leads up to Friday’s Physical Fitness Challenge!

DRAMA CAMP:
(for children entering 1st – 7th grade)
This program gives children the opportunity to learn about drama and put their new skills into action by performing in their very own production! Participants will learn the basics of drama including the importance of imagination, vocal expression, body movement, and circumstance in storytelling. The kids will spend time working on all elements of a performance including building scenery, creating costumes and rehearsals. Thursday will include a dress rehearsal, all leading up to Friday’s big performance.

ART CAMP:
(for children entering 2nd- 7th grade)
End your summer with a splash, of color! Susan Larson, a former Elementary art teacher and current photographer, will teach this week long art camp. Campers will enjoy a variety of fun (and sometimes messy) hands-on studio art, craft and art history activities. Each day a different artist will be explored and campers will see how these established artists use the ”elements of art”. This camp will be perfect for a beginning artist to a modern day Picasso!

• Extended care will be available from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and/or 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Recreational swimming will be included in all of the Post Camp programs.
• Each child will need to bring a lunch, bathing suit, and towel.
